Philippines — Special Resident Retiree's Visa (SRRV)

SRRV is PRA-administered (NOT Bureau of Immigration). Indefinite multi-entry residency. Particularly popular with Korean, Japanese, Chinese, US retirees (Cebu, Davao, Tagaytay, Subic). USD 1,400 application fee + USD 360 annual PRA fee.

    Before applying

    Deposit amount varies by SRRV subtype: USD 10,000 (Human Touch, 35+); USD 20,000 (Smile, 35+); USD 50,000 (Classic, 35-49); USD 10,000 (Classic, 50+ with pension proof).

    Heads up: Deposit is convertible to a real-estate investment in PH after 30 days — many SRRV holders use it as the down-payment for a Philippine condo.

Philippines — 13(a) Permanent Resident Visa (Marriage)

13(a) is the marriage-to-Filipino route to permanent residency. Indefinite multi-entry once permanent status granted. Work authorisation: separate Alien Employment Permit (AEP) from DOLE still required for paid employment.
