    Before applying

    Filed by the Nigerian-registered employer at NIS HQ Abuja. Without the Expatriate Quota the STR cannot be approved.

    Heads up: Large multinationals in oil-and-gas / telecom / banking hold pre-approved quotas. New employers face 4-8 week processing.

    Within 90 days of arrival, register at NIS regional office for the 2-year multi-entry residence permit. USD 2,000 annual fee.
