GEP is the standard HK work-visa route. Renewable; permanent residence after 7 continuous years of ordinary residence. No salary threshold formally, but offered packages typically need to be 'commensurate with the local market'.

Hong Kong — Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS)

Top Talent Pass launched Dec 2022 — fast-track work visa with no employer sponsor needed at entry. Hong Kong's response to talent outflow post-2020. Convert to GEP / IANG / other for long-term residence; same 7-year PR pathway.

    Heads up: Three tiers: Category A (HK$2.5M+ income last year, 2-year pass); Category B (top-100 university degree + 3+ years work experience, 2-year); Category C (top-100 university degree, <3 years work experience, 1-year capped at 10,000/year).
