France — Family reunification (Regroupement Familial / Visa de long séjour conjoint)

Two distinct French family routes: (a) Regroupement familial — for spouses/children of foreign residents in France (OFII-led, 18-month sponsor residence threshold, lengthy process averaging 9-18 months); (b) Visa long séjour conjoint de Français — for spouses of French citizens (faster, no OFII pre-approval, no resources/housing test, married for ≥ 6 months at the time of application). The right route depends on the sponsor's nationality.
